Abby Elliott may be the next cast member to leave Saturday Night Live .
The young actress/comedian will star in the upcoming Fox comedy pilot Ben Fox Is My Manny. The show is based around a stern single mom (Elliott) who moves in with her nonchalant brother to raise a child (Maggie Jones).
Elliot’s new job won’t clash with her schedule at SNL this season, she will film the majority of the pilot during the break of the late night comedy show.
The T.V. star would only have to leave SNL if Ben Fox Is My Manny were to get picked up by Fox. According to sources, Elliot’s contract is not up at SNL, but executive producer Lorne Michaels, has agreed to let the actress out of her contract if necessary.
Elliot is best known for her impersonations of Angelina Jolie, Anna Faris, Rachel Maddow, Khloe Kardashian, Zooey Deschanel and Brittany Murphy.
Chris Elliott, who had his own three year stay at SNL, is the father of Abby Elliot.
