A pro-Trump television network had to embarrassingly cut off one of its reporters during an interview with a man waiting in line at President Donald Trump’s Ohio rally.
The reporter made the mistake of talking with a rallygoer who was not a MAGA fan of President Donald Trump.
It happened outside the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, where Trump delivered another campaign speech aimed at drumming up support for embattled Republicans.

Real America’s Voice reporter Bobby McNeily started talking with a white bearded man wearing a “FORREST GUMP ‘24” shirt identified as “Brian,” saying, “I loved that movie.”
McNeily admitted right away on camera that Brian was no fan of Trump’s.
“Oh, absolutely not,” he agreed.

The reporter said he couldn’t understand why someone who wasn’t a Trump fan would stand in line to see him
“Have you been to a rally before?” he asked. Brian said he had not.
“What do you hope to hear tonight?”
Brian laughed. “What I hope to hear is not what I plan to hear.”
“What I plan to hear is a bunch of rhetoric, a bunch of lies, a bunch of the same old script. That sort of stuff,” he said.
Brian went on to say he was there to get “a first-hand perspective of the kind of lies, garbage, and stuff that’s he’s gonna probably be peddling for the next two years as if the first two haven’t been bad enough.”
McNeily easily pivoted to asking the animated voter whether he considered himself a Democrat.
Brian responded that he was an independent “because I consider myself moderate,” but then he got down to brass tacks.
“I was independent until JD Vance entered our ballot.” He went on to say he then registered as a Republican with a strategy to try to keep Vance off the general election ballot by voting against him in the primary.
“Then I get two chances to try and eliminate all these MAGA idiots,” Brian boldly stated on the right-wing network.
McNeily asked whether Trump’s choice of JD Vance as his running mate encouraged him.
“Oh, I can’t stand him,” Brian stated, and a couple of seconds later, Real America’s Voice abruptly cut away from the interview.
Social media erupted into a frenzy of support for Brian and glee over the network cutting off a dissonant voice so quickly.
“They wanted a Trump supporter. They accidentally found one who was done swallowing the ‘lies and garbage.’ So, they cut the interview. That went well,” an X user laughed.
Another chimed in. “Live interviews can take an unexpected turn when local attendees speak their minds. Rare moment to see a broadcast get cut that fast.”
X user Sami Ullah Malik agreed, “They really thought they were getting a soundbite and ended up getting a reality check. Funniest pull-the-plug moment of the campaign.”
This X user said simply, “I love this guy.”
It also seems the bystander didn’t conform to Real America Voice’s mission statement. The MAGA network clearly states on its website, “America’s Voice is a platform that fosters the real voice of America!”
“At a time when traditional values continue to get trampled by conglomerate news-networks, Americas Voice provides a platform for audiences to be a part of the story so we can broadcast the true opinion of the masses!” it says.
Unless, of course, it doesn’t agree with the “true opinion of the masses,” as was the case with Brian.
Other voters also showed up to see Trump despite their frustrations. Later that night at the rally, MAGA men attacked a heckler wearing a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt. One of them punched her in the face. Police broke it up, removing her but leaving the attacker in his seat.
This was the second trip to Ohio for Trump in the past 10 days. Ohio helped propel him to the White House twice, but now Republicans in the state are behind their Democratic challengers in recent polls.
Incumbent Jon Husted is trailing Democratic challenger Sherrod Brown by as many as eight percentage points, according to two recent polls. A Democratic Senate win in Ohio could flip the Republican-controlled chamber.
Republican Vivek Ramaswamy is faring slightly better than Husted in Ohio’s gubernatorial race, but Democrat Amy Acton remains close behind in a tight contest. Some polls show Acton ahead with a narrow lead. Others show Ramaswamy in the lead.
