‘You’ve Got to Be Kidding’: Trump’s Outrageous Claims Send the Internet Into a Frenzy as Viewers Hit Pause

President Donald Trump supporters have credited him with plenty over the years.

Many have frequently praised his leadership, business background and ability to command attention wherever he goes.

This weekend, Trump took that larger-than-life persona overseas to Ireland for a two-day visit centered largely around golf, including a stop at his Doonbeg resort for the Irish Open, while also meeting with Irish leaders in Dublin.

The Potus recently celebrated a family milestone with son Eric and daughter-in-law Lara Trump.

The photos show Trump embracing his grandfather role, even as a recent story claimed he personally delivered the child at birth—a detail no public record supports.

Trump stepped away from his meetings to celebrate his grandson Luke’s 9th birthday.

On Sept. 12, Lara shared new family photos while in Ireland with Trump for the Irish Open.

They posed in front of Luke’s sports-themed birthday cake with Eric, and their daughter Caroline at the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg.

The second image shows just Trump holding Luke’s shoulders.

“No better way to celebrate being 9 than in Ireland with Grandpa! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUKE!” Lara captioned the photos, paired with the country’s flag.

Another commenter reminded Trump that he had “made things really hard for the Americans that voted for him.”

Following the birthday celebration came a claim that took the grandfather talk to another level.

A video shown during the Republican midterm convention in Dallas added “obstetrician” to Trump’s résumé, crediting him with delivering his grandson at birth.

The “God Made Trump” video, played inside the American Airlines Center, Trump as heaven’s answer to nearly every problem on Earth.

Trump posted the video on Truth Social one day earlier.

The two-and-a-half-minute tribute borrowed the cadence of Paul Harvey’s “So God Made a Farmer.”

It declared that God needed a caretaker and “gave us Trump.” The video praised the president as a tireless leader who fights Marxists and battles the “deep state.” It also claimed he completes a 40-hour workweek by Tuesday afternoon before working another 72 hours.

Then came the line that sent viewers scrambling for the family birth records.

“I need somebody with arms strong enough to wrestle the deep state and yet gentle enough to deliver his own grandchild,” the narrator said.

Threads users quickly responded.

“On September 10, 2026, God saw this and said, ‘Are you kidding me?!?’” one person posted. Another wrote, “The Republicans are now speaking for God, and as prophets, they’ve identified Trump as the savior. Republicans, convince me that it’s not a cult. Go ahead.”

A third asked, “Did this ‘God’ not have a comment about Trump’s name being in the Epstein files more than His own is in the Bible?”

Trump has 11 grandchildren through his four oldest children. However, no publicly available report says he delivered any of them. No family account or birth announcement supports that claim either.

The closest documented delivery-room story involves his daughter Tiffany, not a grandchild. Trump was present when Marla Maples gave birth to Tiffany in 1993. He also cut the umbilical cord, according to the New York Daily News.

The internet promptly requested the missing medical chart.

“Trump delivered his own grandchild? Bwahahaha,” one person wrote. Another posted, “’…gentle enough to deliver his own grandchild.’ WTF?”

“Right after he got home from church on Sunday,” someone else joked about the unbelieveable story. One person added, “No f—king way this is real. You’ve got to be kidding me,” another wrote.

Trump has been photographed with his grandchildren many times. He has played golf with Kai Trump. He has also tossed a football with Theodore Kushner.

The president was also photographed holding Tiffany’s son, Alexander Trump Boulos. Alexander was born in May 2025.

However, visiting grandchildren is not the same as delivering them.

After Ivanka Trump welcomed Arabella Rose Kushner with her husband Jarde Kusher in July 2011, Trump called into “Fox & Friends.”

“I just left the hospital and the baby is beautiful. Ivanka’s doing great,” Trump said the following morning.

His account indicated that he visited after the birth. He also announced Arabella’s name before her parents publicly revealed it.

Ivanka later stepped away from active politics, citing her desire to focus on her family.

Trump’s relationship with his children has often blended family, business and politics. Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka and Eric joined the Trump Organization as adults.

Their mother, the late Ivana Trump, said she primarily raised the three children. She also said their father connected with them more easily after they reached college age. By then, they could discuss business with him.

Just when viewers thought the video couldn’t get any more bizarre after its laundry list of superhuman feats, the final moments deliver a sudden, head-scratching twist.

Moving away from its sweeping messianic claims, the tribute unexpectedly shifts to a private, single-line interaction: “God, let’s make America great again, dad.

Let’s build back a country to be the envy of the world again.” By abruptly narrowing its scope to showcase Don Jr. stepping forward to offer this solemn plea, the video completely excludes the other four children, leaving political observers utterly baffled other children didn’t received a similar mention.

“Did he slide Don Jr in there like that’s who his successor is? JD is definitely getting pushed out,” another asked.

The video offered no explanation for the family hierarchy—or the delivery-room résumé. But it certainly gave viewers another reason to question how far Trump’s political tributes will go.

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
