‘Went Crazy’: Trump’s ‘Arm Candy’ Threw a Fit After He Left Her on Decoy Plane, Now She’s the One He Won’t Leave Behind as She Eyes Leavitt’s Job

President Donald Trump’s trusted aide Natalie Harp is making headlines as one of a select few in the president’s inner circle who flew with him out of Turkey, while others in the president’s entourage were left on a decoy plane after a NATO summit.

As it turns out, Harp is an old hand at this, an insider claims. She reportedly had a “meltdown” over another Trump plane that she wasn’t on a few years back. Now it’s coming back to haunt her as her name circulates for the role of White House press secretary with Karoline Leavitt’s impending departure.

RadarOnline.com reports Trump has been using decoy planes for years and that Harp almost revealed the secret safety strategy in a fit of rage.

Natalie Harp Allegedly Has a Meltdown

According to Trump biographer Michael Wolff, the “meltdown” incident with Harp happened shortly after the assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, during the 2024 presidential campaign.

Harp was on a decoy Trump Force One, the jet Trump used for campaigning, when she discovered her leader was flying in another plane and that the one she was on was in fact a proxy.

“In at least one instance, there was a meltdown,” Wolff said in an interview on the podcast “Inside Trump’s Head.”

“[Harp] was put on the proxy plane and just went crazy, and got everyone involved with this, and in fact then was moved on to the Trump plane because then Trump found out,” he continued.

“She made such a ruckus that Trump found out, or somebody had to tell Trump, ‘Well, since we can’t go anywhere.’”

“And then she was moved over from the proxy plane to Trump’s,” Wolff added.

Social Media Erupts

Social media had a field day, descending into a frenzy of speculation, glee, and sarcasm over Harp’s antics and the possibility of her taking over for Leavitt.

“Natalie Harp is Trump’s new Muse and the reason Melania hasn’t been seen with him. He has new arm candy by his side. It’s just despicable, and he flaunts it right in front of everyone. She’s laughing all the way to the bank because you know her salary is out of the ballpark. The joke’s on the American taxpayer as always,” an AOL reader proclaimed.

“She can’t be both press secretary and emergency diaper responder at once,” another comically observed.

This reader agreed, “The Human Printer she is stuck on Donald Trump.”

X users joined in the merriment, with some wondering if Trump was getting ready to fire Leavitt anyway, as he has with most of the women in high-profile positions in his second administration.

“Leavitt says her resignation as press secretary was ‘bittersweet’. BS. Trump decided to tell Leavitt that his precious human printer Natalie Harp was set to replace her.  A ‘bittersweet decision’? No, it was a strategic necessity to avoid her losing face by being sacked by Trump.”

Another noted, “So will Natalie Harp be the next press secretary or is her role as trump nanny so critical now that they can’t consider her.”

Trump Faces Backlash

The report on Harp’s unprofessional behavior follows revelations on Aug. 10 that Trump was secretly whisked off Air Force One. He sneaked into a meal catering truck outside the plane and was transported to a military jet after the NATO summit in Turkey in early July.

News reports at the time indicated there was a “credible” threat from Iran against the president.

Several people in Trump’s inner circle, including Defense Chief Pete Hegseth, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, and Harp, accompanied Trump. The White House left other administration officials, the press corps, and security personnel on the decoy plane.

Shortly after the news broke, two days later on Aug. 12, Leavitt suddenly resigned. She said she wanted to “spend more time with her beautiful young children and family.”

Leavitt gave birth to her second child, daughter Viviana, on May 1 and is leaving the White House at the end of August.
