Angela Simmons took to Instagram on April 15 to honor her late ex-fiancé and the father of her son, Sutton Tennyson.
Simmons’ post comes after Michael Williams received a life sentence for Tennyson’s murder. Tennyson was shot and killed outside of his Atlanta home on Nov. 3, 2018, following an argument with Williams.
Williams, who turned himself in a week later, was ultimately charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon. TMZ reports that along with the life sentence Williams also received an additional 15 years behind bars for his possession of a firearm charge. He will be eligible for parole after serving a minimum of 30 years.
The outlet also reported that Simmons addressed the court with an emotional speech before Williams’ sentencing. In it, the “Growing Up Hip Hop” star shared how her 5-year-old son Sutton Joseph Tennyson always ask her when his father would return.
Simmons also disclosed that she cries all the time because of Tennyson’s joy of wanting to raise their child and her son not being able to experience a relationship with his father.
Following Williams’ conviction, Simmons shared intimate images of Tennyson and their son on Instagram. She wrote in the caption, “Justice served today! We got you! We got him.” As fans viewed the post, many sent love and well-wishes to Simmons and her son.
“Praying for your family, especially your son. May God cover him.”
