‘I Know Ain’t Nobody Bold Enough to Try and Rob the OG’: Ice-T Scares Fans After He Jokes About Getting Robbed Amid High Gas Prices

Ice-T gave fans quite the scare when he joked about getting robbed at a gas station. The former gangster rapper has fans believing he was robbed in New Jersey last night. But it turns out it was all just a joke.

He tweeted, “I was robbed at a gas station in NJ last night. After my hands stopped trembling. I managed to call the cops, and they were quick to respond and calmed me down. My money is gone. The police asked me if I knew who did it. I said, ‘yes. It was pump number 9.'”

With gas prices continuing to spike worldwide, Ice-T used the clickbait-worthy tweet to get some attention. Most of his followers got a kick out, including one who said, “I’ve said it before, I’m positive I’ll say it again. No one is better at this whole ‘internet’ thing than Ice-T. We should all stop trying.”

Another said, “I was like damn n—-s robbing Ice-T,” with a crying emoji.

Still, a small handful felt the “New Jack City” star’s joke was purely insensitive. One person said, “How many people go thru actually getting robbed and you make a joke of it? This isn’t funny.”

The “High Rollers” rapper then took the joke to Instagram, where he wrote in the caption, “If you want to get verified, send me a DM.”

Fans in the comments were left crying from laughter while sharing hundreds of laughing emojis, including one individual who brought up Ice-T’s character Fin Tutuola on the hit series, “Law & Order: SVU.” Here’s what others had to say.

“Dayum Tutuola, I was just about to tool up and hit the road…”

“Don’t play like that with us, OG!! Was about to get the strap.”

“Boy I was bout to say I know ain’t nobody bold enough to try and rob the OG.”

“We actually thought some one ran up on you with the pump for a second, turns out it was the actual pump.”

“Pump 11 got me two days ago.”
