Safaree Samuels’ time with the “Love and Hip Hop” franchise may be coming to an end soon.
Samuels sounded off on the reality television series, which he stars in, after the show aired a clip of his reaction to his 1-year-old daughter’s accident.
In one Wednesday, July 28, tweet, the artist said that he explicitly told the editors “not to air my baby falling and y’all still used it,” saying the show “ain’t sh-t” for continuing to air it. In the latest episode, Samuels’ estranged wife, Erica Mena, was breaking the news to him that they were going to have a son when suddenly their daughter Safire Majesty accidentally fell back on the tile floor while playing with Samuels’ guitar.
As she picked up the guitar, Mena went off on Samuels because instead of picking up their daughter he stood up and laughed. He then claimed that the incident was Mena’s “fault” because she “shouldn’t have had her over there.”
In another tweet, Samuels decided to share how he felt about the “L&HH” crew airing the scene. He said, “That was tacky and tasteless!! It’s definitely about to be a wrap on my time with y’all. Y’all be wanting too much of ppl time to be doin dat type of wack shit!! We filmed a hr long convo for that scene and y’all chop it to 3 mins and use that and make it a focal point. Weak.”
He also explained in the next tweet that they reshot the scene multiple times, yet the editors “still used that.” The father of two said,”Y’all don’t have no respect, because that was not my response of me finding out I was having a boy!”
Erica Mena and Samuels have been married since October 2019, but earlier this year in May, Mena decided to file for divorce after Samuels voiced multiple times that he wanted to be divorced.
