As always, the youngest member in the Wade household is stealing the show.
On Saturday, July 17, Gabrielle Union posted three photos of her and her husband, Dwyane Wade, showing off their outfits before heading out. While the couple looked smashing, it was their 1-year-old daughter Kaavia James Union Wade who stole most of the attention.
Kaavia stood proudly in her leopard print wear and teenie weenie afro with a smile on her face and her hand behind her back, seemingly on her hip. Union also stood with her hand on her hip in a black dress while Wade rocked a white suit. Kaavia was only in one of the three photos and let her parents take the rest alone.
It’s not clear where the Wades actually went but based on Wade’s Instagram story photos, it appears that they had a double date with Roc Nation’s Shawn Pecas Costner and his wife, Karen.
Union wrote, “The family that slays together… @kaaviajames sprinted from her bed in her jammies to join the slayage.” Fans commented on Kaavia being in the photo.
One person said, “Kaavia sending her parents off for the night ! As she should 😭!” “I bet she told them to be home at a decent time too,” wrote another person. Someone else said, “Kaav looking like a concerned grandma watching the kids go out on this fine Saturday night 😂😂.”
What’s gained Kaavia all of these fans is her shockingly shady personality. After the constant release of photos and videos put out by Union of her child, people began to notice that she has somewhat of a serious personality for such a young person.
In an interview with People magazine, Union said she not only welcomes Kaavia’s shade, but she also acknowledges it as a “super power.” She said, “Shade is her super power because when Kaavia gives you a look, it’s either you’re not respecting her boundaries or something is happening that she doesn’t like. The main takeaway is that she’s free to be this amazing, dynamic, shady at times, loving at times Black little girl when the world has not been so kind to Black girls and women.”
Kaavia is Union and Wade’s only child together, a daughter they had via surrogate. Wade has three other children from two other relationships.
