‘This Outfit Is Confusing, But I Like It’: Alexis Skyy Steps Out In Outfit That Leaves Fans Scratching Their Heads

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” reality star and beauty influencer Alexis Skyy is known for being a showstopper in some of the most fly ’fits. However, at times Skyy can throw fans off with her looks, and last week that’s precisely what happened.

Skyy, 26, was in Atlanta on her chill vibes when she stopped for a photo in front of a phone store in Atlanta’s Lindbergh/Morosgo neighborhood. Skyy rocked a brown crop puffer with no sleeves, black biker shorts, a black bag, and a set of $1,691 Louis Vuitton Polar flat half boots.

Skyy’s outfit looked comfortable, but it confused fans because they couldn’t tell if the fashion and beauty influencer was hot or cold. They expressed their confusion in her comments section.

“This outfit is confusing, but I like it 😍.”

“The outfit is confusing me 😒.”

“It’s hot or cold out, sis?”

“This bummy as h–,” one social media user said.

“So confused about the weather.”

Despite her followers’ confusion, Skyy still garnered over 110,000 likes from fans.

This isn’t the first time that Skyy left fans scratching their heads about her outfit choices. Days before she celebrated her 26th birthday last July, Skyy uploaded a video of herself sporting a strapless pink-and-white corset by T Styles Corset, black shorts, boots, and shades.

“Early bday vibes,” Skyy captioned the post, adding several pink heart emojis.

While Skyy was feeling herself in the video, many of her fans did not like her pre-birthday outfit. One fan said that Skyy was of enough means not to be “wearing a corset with biker shorts.”

However, she won followers back when she showcased her toned physique in a two-piece black and white bathing suit and sheer white cardigan for her birthday dinner.

“26 looks tf good on me 🤍,” Skyy captioned the picture of herself with her foot propped up. The post garnered significant favoritism with her fans after the failed fashion post, with over 234,000 likes.

Luckily for Skyy, she has more fashion hits than misses.

Independent journalism still matters.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
