Tamar Braxton Finally Spills the Tea on Why She Said ‘Congratulations’ on Her IG Story Post of Toni Braxton and Birdman

Tamar Braxton is finally explaining what she meant when she said made a congratulations post for her big sister Toni Braxton and Birdman, who is Toni’s fiancé. In an interview with the hosts of “The Morning Hustle” on Feb. 23, Tamar opened up about why she made the post saying “@tonibraxton @birdman congratulations love birds” on Valentine’s Day.

She said at 7:48, “I don’t know, and that post had nothing to do with a marriage proposal,” she began. “Listen, let me tell you something, I was the loneliest I’ve ever been on Valentine’s Day, and for me for Toni and Bryan to have made it this far and this long and still in love is amazing to me. So that was what the congratulations was.”

Toni and Birdman had been seeing each other for two years before she announced their engagement on Braxton Family Values in 2018. Since the announcement, Toni and Birdman — born Bryan Christopher Williams — have seemingly been struggling to pick out a date for them to say their “I Dos.”

The couple are very private and rarely post or talk about each other and are almost never seen together. So there are moments when fans question if the two are even still together. Some people are still confused about how these two became a match for each other to begin with. But Tamar believes the CEO of Cash Money records and her sister are a great pair.

She said, “We’ve known Bryan for a long time. I was maybe about 15 or 16 when I first met him. And a lot of people don’t know, in Toni’s spare time, she wants to be Lil’ Kim. She wants to rap and all of that. And the part of Bryan that you guys don’t know about is that he’s super sweet. He’s a kind-hearted person, and he’s a family person. And she is too. So when they come together, it’s the beautiful music that you see. They’re super private, though, so I don’t want to get in trouble.”
