During the premiere of her Netflix stand-up comedy series, “They Ready Season 2,” the 41-year-old sported a long-sleeve red leather suit to look like the one Eddie Murphy wore in his iconic 1983 HBO special “Delirious.”
Uploading a side-by-side photo of her and the “Dr. Dolittle” star to her Instagram page on Wednesday, Feb. 3, Tiffany posed the question, “Who wore it better Me or Eddie?”
The post garnered over 145,000 likes from fans who were split on who rocked the legendary look best. Several people opted for Eddie, including one person who wrote, “You look great but Eddie’s is a sign of the times.” Another person echoed those sentiments, saying, “😍 Girl you are stunning and sexy AF but I gotta say Eddie …” That person added, “I was 12 or 13 when he wore that and I have had a crush on him pretty much my whole life since. He was super sexy then and still is now!”
“I love you Tiff. But it’s not who wore it better. But who did it better during the time,” a third expressed. “No shade, but Eddie. Lol.”
However, some told Tiffany that she was comparing apples to oranges. That includes one social media user who chimed in with: “Exactly One is fly, one is sexy.” A fourth wrote, “Why would we even wanna pick Eddie 😂😂😂. Go on with your thick cute self in unicorn red 😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗.”
The “Girl’s Trip” star has been actively improving her health and wellness. Recently, she gave fans an update on her progress, which she partially credited to Luther Freeman’s 30 Day Transformation Team program, which provides individual fitness and nutrition plans.
In a previous interview, she revealed that after weighing 182 pounds last year around her birthday, she had since lost 40 pounds during the pandemic and another 10 pounds three weeks into the program.
“I’m very skinny, it’s going good,” she said at the time. “I don’t really want to lose any more weight. I want to now just sculpt it all, sculpt off the fat so I can get to the muscle. The goal is to have abs by New Year’s Day! We’ll see.”
