‘Went from Hey Boo to GQ’: Marlon Wayans Tests Beard Vs. No Beard Look, Asks Fans to Weigh In

With a new project on the horizon, multi-hyphenated talent Marlon Wayans is asking his female fans to weigh in on his look. Considering a bearded look or dapper smooth face for his next role, the comedian took to social to poll his followers.

Posting two photos — one of himself suited and rocking a clean-shaven face, and the other also suited but with a low-cut beard — the 47-year-old asked: Beard or no beard?

A glance at the comments, and it’s obvious some fans were unable to choose a look, but were certain either one maintained his swoon-worthy appeal.

“Sexy either way.. But when you don’t have the bread u do look younger. 😍😍”

“You zaddish with both BUT I say beard as well!! 😍”

“I like the beard but no beard is good too!”

“With or without. Both are sexy” and “Either way… suit from first pic tho ✊🏽😀,” wrote commenters on IG.

Even some of Wayans’ industry peers chimed in, but only to poke fun at him and the misspelled word in his caption: “LADIES! Trying to figure out my loom for my next movie.”

“I was like…whats a loom thinking it was like movie talk lol I got it it’s looks lol”

“Fruit of the loom 🍇”

“Either loom is good,” wrote former “106th & Park” host Terrance J.

While the comedian did not divulge any details on what his next project is about, it didn’t stop people from dropping their requests.

“U need to do a biopic on your amazing family”

“What about a haunted house 3?”

“Beard+suit and maybe +White Chicks sequel?👀”

In October 2020, Wayans again tested out his dramatic acting chops in “On the Rocks.” In the film he plays a husband suspected of carrying on an affair.

“At this point in my career, I want to work with great directors so I could put my greatest performance in the best material and see where that takes me,” said Wayans of the role to Awards Daily.

“When I read the script, I saw the character and thought it’d be nice to play a good guy. I love the fact that he, at the end of the day, was a good guy and a good man. That’s something that women need to see.”

As for what he’s been up to recently, it’s putting a smile on the faces of audiences who look to him for comedic relief.

“I think right now we all need to laugh, especially myself. When I’m on stage myself I just have a great time,” Wayans explained while speaking with FOX4 in Kansas ahead of his sold out stand-up shows on Jan. 15.
