Megan Thee Stallion had some “Good News” delivered to her girl Taraji P. Henson in a way that was so fun and creative she left the “Empire” actress speechless.
In celebration of the release of her first studio album, “Good News,” the 25-year-old “Savage” rapper had a whole show delivered to her girl and fellow “Body” music video star Henson. The 50-year-old actress was visibly shocked when a singing telegram was delivered to her in the throwback style of a newsboy delivering a paper as a trio sang an a capella version of the album’s title track.
“Popped up on @tarajiphenson with some GOOD NEWS🔥🔥🔥,” wrote the head Hot Girl in the video caption. “She has been an amazing strong black woman role model to me and every time I hear her say ‘keep hitting them upside the head’ it makes me want to go even harder 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 love youuu.”
Henson immediately became emotional over the thoughtful gesture when she opened the box, styled to look like a stack of newspapers, to see a mirror inside, as the deliverer declared, “You are the good news.”
“SPECIAL DELIVERY 🎁🔥 Can ALL of my packages be delivered like this from now on???,” asked Henson in her post. “💯 MEG @theestallion GIRL YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU. #GoodNewsMegan is out now 🙌. Who’s seen the “BODY” video??? 👀 🎥: @_jshotit.”
Fans loved seeing the two Black powerhouses join forces to support each other, and many left positive messages on both ladies’ posts.
“I love you and Meg so much 😩 the love y’all have for each other,” gushed a follower.
“Black women uplifting each other!!! I love it ✨👏🏾👏🏾,” a second applauded.
“This is beautiful. Black Girl Magic ❤️.”
“This is what I call a singing gram! That was bomb!”
“We love to see it.”
Meg’s “Body” video featured a slew of hotties along with Henson, including social media influencer Jordyn Woods (who also received a singing telegram), model Tabria Majors, reality star Blac Chyna, and more. “Good News” was released on Nov. 20.
