Sunday, Nov. 15, marked the two-year anniversary of Kim Porter’s untimely death. The former model passed away in 2018 after falling ill with pneumonia. She was 47.
Sean “Diddy” Combs paid tribute to his ex-lover over the weekend, with a heartfelt tribute posted to his Instagram page. The former couple share three biological children, their son Christian, 22, and twin daughters Jessie James and D’Lila Star, 13. Diddy also helped raise Quincy Brown, 29. Quincy is Porter’s son from her previous relationship with R&B singer Al B. Sure. (Diddy is also a father to daughter Chance, 14, and son Justin, 26, from other relationships of his own.)
Porter and the Bad Boy Records founder met in 1994 and dated on and off for thirteen years. They welcomed Christian in 1998, and although their romantic relationship didn’t work out, calling quits once and for all in 2007, they continued to co-parent and remained close friends over the years.
The “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper shared a gallery of vintage photos from what appeared to be past family vacations and tender moments between them and their children. In the first photo, Diddy was seen carrying a young Christian on his shoulder alongside Porter. In the next shot, the actress was seen posing with one of her twin girls.
Toward the end of the slide, Diddy shared a candid moment of himself and Porter kissing, following that with a photo of the two smiling while seated at a table. “QUEEN KIM PORTER!!” Diddy captioned the series of snaps. He added, “@ladykp … IRREPLACEABLE … LOVE YOU FOREVER ❤️.” The post received over 518,300 likes.
The following day the music mogul shared another photo of a young Porter on his Instagram page. The young model looked breathtakingly beautiful in a white dress. Diddy captioned the black and white photo, “The Ebony Goddess!!! I miss her so much!!! And always will!!!! 💔. @ladykp.”
Fans and friends voiced their support for the businessman and commended him on a job well done on handling his fatherly duties since Porter’s passing. One user wrote, “You’re doing a great job keeping the family together.” They added, “I know she’s proud of you love❤️.”
Another person commented, “I pray that God heals your heart 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 @diddy the best people are the ones that leave us too soon. R.I.P @ladykp♥️♥️.”
“She look 👀 beautiful @diddy. God bless her soul. Rest In Heaven beautiful queen 👸🏽. You will always be the queen 👑 in heaven. Love ❤️ you diva,” a third person commented.
