Eva Marcille revealed to millions of her followers on Sunday afternoon that she was in love with her permanently installed locs, as she shared a current update on her hair.

The former reality star, who was dressed in a blue ensemble with a bare face, displayed her colorful locs on Nov. 8 while informing her followers that her 6-year-old daughter Marley Rae was an inspiration behind the change.

The post read: “💫🌻 Three months in on my loc journey. I am absolutely in love. My daughter Marley has been loc’d for almost 5 years and I’m just trying to get like her. I love the freedom my locs give me. Hair is just hair but it is alive. It moves and sways as it feels on that day. Just let it be! Helps to polish up who I am, a Sunflower in human form🌻.” Fans showered Marcille with adulation over her authentic beauty.

This revelation comes a month after the 36-year-old clapped back at fans for chastising her for the unique hairdo she wore at her friend and former “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” co-star Cynthia Bailey‘s wedding in October, where she served as a bridesmaid. Many of her followers felt that her high ponytail — where her locs stood atop of her head — was inappropriate given the formality of the event. The television personality shared that the coiffure they are bashing is an “African” tradition.

“Little do they know it is a traditional African hairstyle especially to an elegant evening. We are so colonized and so European we don’t even see black beauty in front of us,” Marcille wrote.

According to her Instagram, Marcille originally debuted the hairstyle on Sept. 19 after the mother of three shared an image of herself parading her freshly installed individual locs. In the upload, she credited the masterminds behind her daring new look. “👑 @ebonyrootshair X  @e_scizorhands permanently locd me up👑” The photo went on to rack up over 51,000 likes.
