Tyler Perry has many titles to his name, such as billionaire, director, producer, and actor. The 54-year-old was trying to add “snack” — a term meaning someone who looks good — to his résumé on Wednesday afternoon after he shared a pic of himself in his gray gym shorts and black fitness shirt.
The father of one has been hitting the gym a lot lately, and he didn’t shy away from showing off his toned physique while posing in front of his car. Although the Oct. 21 photo racked up over 346,000 likes, some people couldn’t help but poke fun at the playwright, while others praised Perry on his fitness journey.

Despite the fact that the studio mogul is in the best shape of his life, many fans can’t seem to differentiate Perry from his Mabel “Madea” Simmons character, an African-American elderly woman he’s said was based on his mother and his aunt.
She was introduced to the public with his first stage play, “I Can Do Bad All By Myself.” The portrayals of Madea for over 20 years helped the actor rack up more than a quarter of his $1 billion net worth. His entire library includes “1,200 episodes of television, 22 feature films, and at least two dozen stage plays,” Forbes reports. Perry retired the character last year after her long, lucrative run.
So whether he is seen as sex symbol, an entertainment titan, or both, Perry will continue to post his nonchalant thirst traps for the world to see no matter what people think of them.
