It looks like Shay “Buckeey” Johnson has ongoing family issues that fans had no idea about.
The “Love and Hip Hop: Miami” star and her brother Emjay, who also appeared on the VH1 show this past season, both are slated to appear on an upcoming two-hour long episode of “Iyanla: Fix My Life” with spiritual coach Iyanla Vanzant. They will come face to face with their mother, whom they apparently have a strained relationship with, and confront her about their ongoing family issues.
In a snippet of the upcoming episode, Johnson, who’s known to have quite a temper on “LHHMIA” and “Flavor of Love,” said she gets her hot head from her mom.
“I am my mother’s child,” said the television personality. “She’s so aggressive, just like me.”
During the episode, her brother Emjay was seen breaking into tears, asking their mother, “Why couldn’t you just love me?”
Things even got heated between Johnson and Vanzant. Johnson walked out of their sit-down, telling Vanzant, “I ain’t willing to deal with this s–t. Lady, I’m out.” She also yelled, “F–k the process! Byyyye!” after the television host followed her to the car.
The “LHHMIA” stars’ emotional scenes prompted mixed reactions from fans.
“Shay is in her forties getting in fist fights over has been R&B artists on national TV. The last thing she needs to do is walk out on this process.”

Johnson opened up about her family issues previously on a 2019 segment of the “Leschea Show.”
She claimed that her now-divorced parents argued a lot during her childhood and that she often felt she was put in the middle of their disagreements. She also recalled a time where she attempted to run away from home when she was a child.
It’s unclear where Johnson and Emjay currently stand with their mother, but hopefully their family can work it out.
