Fans of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reality star Kenya Moore were in for a bit of a surprise when she revealed on Wednesday, Sept. 16 that she gained 25 pounds.
In a photo shared through an Instagram post, the model rocked an orange dress that accentuated every curve, pairing it off with her beautiful flowy black locks, a pearl bracelet, and stud earrings. Moore completed the look with natural-looking makeup and a pink lip. She captioned the post “183 lbs!!! The Quarantine has added 25lbs to my 5’10” frame. I don’t mind if you don’t mind 😘💯 #lovetheskinyourein.” Fans raved over the reality star’s transparency and self-empowerment.

This isn’t the first time Moore showed some love to her figure. On Aug. 12, she shared an Instagram photo showing off her body. The pic generated more than 43,000 likes and over 700 comments. Moore captioned the post, “Work of art 🖼” by @kevinokeith♥️.” In the photo, the model can be seen wearing a curve-fitting, low-cut red dress that helps show off her assets. She paired the look with 24 inches of her own locks and a silver necklace. The “RHOA” star completed the look with a bare face.
Moore, who has always been about fitness, opened up about her weight-loss journey following the birth of her Brooklyn Daly back in 2019. According to MadameNoire, Moore credited her accelerated weight loss post baby to her diet and exercise habits before pregnancy. “So a week after I had given birth, I lost 40 pounds. But I had a C-section so I couldn’t really stand up, I obviously couldn’t work out or do anything like that. But I was a workout person before. I took care of my body. I, what we call just ‘snapped back’ after two weeks. I thought, ‘Wow! My tummy is flat again,’ or nearly flat. I didn’t think that would happen.”
One thing Moore feared going into this journey was the possibility of her age slowing her down from getting back to her original body weight before baby. “I’m 47 years old. I was worried too,” she said. “The young girls get to snap back but what about me? And so, you take care of your body and you eat well.”
