50 Cent and DJ Envy apparently have joined forces for a new TV show that will teach people about the real estate business. A lot of people congratulated the G-Unit rapper after news of the series surfaced, since he’s been conducting plenty of business in the TV space. 50 announced the new show Tuesday, Sept. 15, on Instagram next to a photo of Envy signing what looks to be a contract.
“I was thinking wouldn’t it be great to see @flipping_nj and @djenvy on TV, so you can understand the real estate business. Done deal! 🚀,” 50 captioned the image.
New Jersey real estate mogul Cesar Piña, who owns real estate company Flipping NJ, is a collaborator on the show, and he trumpeted the news Wednesday on Instagram.
“Today is and awesome day,” Piña said. “Never ever thought I would be on tv or was planning for it.We signed our real estate tv show deal with @50centMe @djenvy @jennitips @luchie_rentals and the whole family and team will be showing you guys what it takes to be successful in real estate and run a real estate empire.”
“Huge move,” someone wrote under 50’s post about the series.
“Man let me tell you people can say what they want about @50cent man the way he do business is unmatched in the game at this time. he all gas no brakes with this,” wrote another Instagram user.
“Yeah @50cent these are the types of shows the Black community needs as well drama shows,” a third person chimed in. “I’m so d–n proud of you. I can’t say it enough.”
Additional comments referred to all of the TV projects that 50 currently has on-air or in development since “Power Book II Ghost,” which he executive produces, premiered on Starz Sunday, Sept. 6. 50 also executive produces ABC’s “For Life” and has a show that he’s creating on the Black Mafia Family, the infamous drug organization from Detroit.
Other shows in development under 50’s G-Unit Film & Television include a series on Black female sports agent Nicole Lynn, whose clients include a long list of NFL players.
“Moment in Time: The Massacre” is another series on its way that 50 is producing. The Starz show will center on real-life stories when the criminal world and hip-hop intermingled.
Envy has remained relatively quiet about his and 50’s new real estate show besides posting the photo of himself signing paperwork. The New York-raised radio host has been involved with real estate for some time and has a history working with Piña.
In 2019 RevoltTV reported that Envy’s real estate portfolio is worth millions of dollars.
