Keyshia Cole isn’t here for people trying to downplay her curves.
The 38-year-old crooner tried to prove to her 6 million followers over the weekend that she was thicker than a bowl of cold grits, but it quickly backfired. She took to her Instagram story on Saturday evening, Sept. 12, with a selfie of her clappas.
Cole pushed her booty against a car, while wearing a form-fitting crop top and pants set, and aimed the camera at her backside.
“Just cause I don’t show it. Don’t mean it ain’t there 💪🏾,” she wrote.
IG users, however, weren’t too sold on Cole’s curvy frame.
“LMFAOOOOOOO not her pushing her booty against the car to make it look bigger 😩 all of us weren’t meant for the period challenge Keyshia,” said a fan.
Another wrote, “But it’s not there. This is an illusion 😭 like sitting on the sink 🤦🏽♀️”
“Keysh, you my girl 50 grand! But I mean, for why? You tryna make babydaddy mad or what? 🤦🏽♀️😭,” someone else added.
A follower roasted the “Let It Go” singer and said, “It’s the forcing those little clappas out for me give it up sis 😂😂.”
However, one of Cole’s supporters denounced critics’ comments and wrote, “She’s super pretty that body is fire too.”
The mother of two may not necessarily be famous for her curves, but she’s still adamant about staying in shape.
She told BET in 2014 she was getting reacquainted with her body and focused on becoming healthier.
“Gym, yeah. Just trying to eat better. I did a fast for about four to five days…just juicing. I actually loved it,” said Cole. “I go in the steam room before I work out for about 10 to 15 minutes then go work out for about two to three hours then go pick up my son from school and get back to my motherly duties. Right now, working. Trying to stay focused.”
On top of keeping a banging body, Cole is also working on a new music project.
In July, the R&B songstress announced she was recording her eighth studio album. Showing off her long purple tresses, Cole wrote, “The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic. #ALBUM#EIGHT💜.”
