‘Bro Ya Beard Is Not Quite Connecting Like Your Music’: 50 Cent and T.I. Trolling Each Other After ‘Verzuz’ Battle Proposal Stalls

Rapper and “Power” producer 50 Cent and rapper T.I. spent their Thursday evening throwing jabs at each other on Instagram after a proposed “Verzuz” battle.

The two artists have been pondering on the idea of this Instagram match for quite some time but things went sour on Sept. 3 after T.I. demanded that 50 commit to a time earlier in the evening, according to Page Six.

T.I. wrote in an Instagram post, “Pullin up to smoke @50cent @verzuztv like….
#BringMeTheBully😈 @therealswizzz@timbaland MAKE THIS SCARY NI66A PICK A DATE‼️🙏🏽”

50 Cent then responded with a series of posts, one of which taunted the “Live Your Life” rapper’s beard. “Bro ya beard is not quite connecting like your music. You do know i did 10,000,000 on the second album too. 👀😆🥱you just make sure you’re at work on time. OK #STARZ POWER this Sunday. #bransoncognac

The third line in 50’s caption could refer to news that T.I. will be starring in a new show executive produced by the Queen’s rapper. The show is reportedly called “Twenty Four Seven” and it’s based on a former NYPD detective named Derrick Parker who investigated some of hip-hop’s biggest crimes such as the murders of The Notorious B.I.G. and Jam Master Jay.

T.I. will play Parker. 50 also saw that as an opportunity to promote his “Power” spinoff that debuted Sept. 6 on Starz.

This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has trolled people on social media. The rapper has a history of throwing jabs at his “Power” colleagues as well as his friends. One “Power” cast member in particular to take shots was actress and singer Naturi Naughton. Back in 2019, the rapper reposted a side-by-side photo set of Naughton and Goro from Mortal Kombat and wrote, “who the f—k did this, POWER is #1.” After receiving a poor response to his post, 50 deleted the photo and temporarily deactivated his Instagram page. He later took to Twitter to explain the situation.

Naughton clapped back by saying, “😔There’s so much I wanna say but… You don’t even have an Instagram account so… 🤷🏾‍♀‍ why waste my characters or come out of my CHARACTER! But do pick up a copy of my upcoming book: #whatNOTtoDoWhenYoureABoss 🤦🏾‍♀‍ #ImNotACharacter #IAmARealPerson #IAmAWoman #IAmABlackWoman”

Back in April in a since-deleted Instagram post 50 clowned Kevin Hart, Diddy, and Deion Sanders for rocking their gray hairs during quarantine. He captioned the photo featuring the three stars “👀 man where the f–k is the time machine, they got old on quarantine. LOL.”

It is uncertain when these two rappers will duke it out on “Verzuz,” but one thing is for sure this isn’t the last trolling session between the two artists.
