“Love & Hip Hop” reality star Safaree Samuels is taking his role as a husband and father to new heights, literally. The 39-year-old was recorded trying to install a lightbulb along the eaves his and wife Erica Mena’s mansion by using a scaffold rolling tower.
“Man Vs. Mansion ‼️ So in order to change bulbs at our new house, we needed a scaffold built,” Samuels captioned the video. “I tried to do it myself, but fear got the best of me, and I got stuck 😩😩🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️.”
Samuels can be seen climbing up the scaffold with flip-flops on, saying, “You see what I have to go through to change a lightbulb.”
However, the MC and television personality’s nerves got the best of him when he reached the top. “It’s shaking. This is scary,” Samuels can be heard saying. “How am I going to do this? I’m scared,” Samuels added.
The person behind the camera advised him to flip his body around, and Samuels eventually gave up and climbed back down the scaffold.
Fans scolded Samuels for wearing flip-flops but applauded his attempt to complete his yard work for his family.
“Chile, you need a climbing harness and a lanyard. That makes me nervous for you. Just call somebody.”

Samuels’ stuntman video garnered over 170,000 views, and while he wasn’t able to install the lightbulb, he put himself to use in other areas of the home.
The father of one put together outside seats for the patio, which took him seven hours to complete, he said.
Samuels’ mini-project was a success, and fans showered him with praise for his performance of his manly duties. Samuels and fellow “LHH” reality diva Mena wed in 2019 and welcomed their daughter in February 2020.
Their child’s name and face have yet to be revealed to the public.
