‘Miserable People’: Angela Simmons Fans Jump to Object After a Troll Claims She’s Pregnant

Angela Simmons and her supporters clearly have no issue setting the record straight when it comes to pregnancy rumors.

The “Growing Up Hip Hop” star shared a series of snaps to Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 27, that showed her looking more beautiful than ever. She sported a pair of denim distressed shorts, stiletto pumps and a pink blouse that could easily be mistaken for maternity wear.

In one photo, Simmons showcased her gorgeous gams and flashed a huge smile at the camera. In another, she struck an awkward pose and stared into the camera like a deer in headlights.

The 33-year-old mother did away with a wordy caption and added a star emoji instead. She also flaunted her dewy makeup look and ombre black-and-blond curls for her 6 million followers.

Despite Simmons receiving more than 159,000 likes on her post, mischief makers still lurked underneath her comments section. One person announced the mother of one was pregnant.

“Beautiful pregnancy glow!” the troll wrote. Simmons responded, “why make up stuff 🤷🏽‍♀️ lol.”

Supporters jumped to back Simmons’ rebuttal.

“You know miserable people make up lies to make themselves feel less miserable.”

“if you don’t believe she’s pregnant, then why mention the word ‘pregnant’? 🤔 Like, I’m real confused 😂.”

“simple minded people do things like that…’Make up stuff’ about other people’s lives for attention.”

Others mentioned how gorgeous Simmons looked. One person wrote, “So beautiful to see a natural woman 😍 that appreciates her curves. ❤️ Love looks good on you!”

Simmons and her man Daniel Jacobs are indeed in love.

The “GUHH” star has been flooding Instagram with cute couple pics of herself and Jacobs lately. The pair recently took a getaway to St. Lucia, where they apparently enjoyed their time together.

On Wednesday, she shared a romantic pic of herself and the boxer posing together. Simmons placed her leg and hand on his thigh while resting her head on his shoulder. She wrote, “Thankful.”

It’s unclear how long Simmons and her boxer bae have been dating, but the twosome seem madly in love with each other.

Independent journalism still matters.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
