Rest In Power: Chadwick Boseman, ‘Black Panther’ Star, Dies at 43 After 4-Year Fight with Colon Cancer

Actor Chadwick Boseman dies at 43 after a 4-year fight with colon cancer, according to a statement released from his official Twitter account on the evening of August 28.

The statement read in part, “A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.”

It continued, “It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”

    To Mr. Boseman’s family I give my condolences for your loss. Know that my heart along with many others mourn with you. Mr. Boseman was more than an actor. He embodied the grace of a true king, hero, intelligence, grace, and inspired others to be a better person. He was an example of a true hero that produced greatness as he battled cancer. He will be missed but never forgotten. God bless you all!
