At only 17 years old, Riley Burruss has quickly scored a spot as a trendsetter on social media. The cast member of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” recently served looks in a photo she shared to Instagram that showed her sporting a face full of makeup and straight black hair that flowed past her shoulders.
In the shot, Kandi Burruss‘ daughter looks radiant with her smokey eye, rosy cheeks, filled-in eyebrows, fake eyelashes and lip color. Her hair was styled to perfection and neatly parted down the center. Decked out in a black shirt with the phrase “Honey” written across her chest, the reality star stood in front of a wall and smiled wide for the camera. ” ‘Shout out to my haters, sorry that you couldn’t phase me’ – Nicki Minaj” she captioned the Sunday, Aug. 2 image.
Riley received numerous compliments about her beauty photo, including a comment in the form of an emoji from her mother: “😍.” Several people also wrote comments like “SHE IS BEAUTY; SHE IS GRACE; SHE IS RILEY BURRUSS😻” and “Rileyyyy woahhhh🤩” underneath the image.
It’s unknown why Riley was all dressed up, but the Georgia native is gearing up to go to New York University in just a few weeks. According to NYU’s coronavirus safety plan for the 2020-2021 school year, “remote instruction will continue through the summer,” and “NYU will reconvene on campus for fall 2020.” Undergraduate students are expected to move in between August 29 and September 1, and will be required to wear face masks and practice social distancing to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Riley’s new look came as a surprise to some people, considering she underwent the big chop at the beginning of April. At the time, the Bravo star debuted her drastic hair change during a TikTok video with her mother. Kandi shared the footage to Instagram and explained that Riley cut her tresses to achieve healthier hair.
“2 weeks ago my baby girl @rileyburruss decided to cut all her hair off,” she wrote. “Her hair was damaged & she wanted to cut it short & start all over. I like her Afro!”
