‘If Snatched the Eff Up Was a Person’: Fans Crush Over Mariah Huq’s Slim Waistline

Mariah Huq is living it up this summer!

The “Married to Medicine” creator and executive producer busted out a red-and-white striped crop top with red bikini bottoms for a day on her lake. Mariah kept her beachwear classy by wearing white pants on top of her bikini briefs. Showing off her extremely toned midsection, the mother of two kneeled on her boat and touched the body of her vehicle in a photo she shared to Instagram on Tuesday, July 28.

In the shot, Mariah’s blond wavy locks are flowing down her back and over her shoulder. She accessorized her beachy look with a white visor and shades. It appears that the Tennessee native planned to soak up the sun at a lake house location that she described as “Quarantine Island.” She wrote in her caption: “Just riding the waves!#summervibes.”

The reality star received countless compliments from fans obsessing over her jaw-dropping figure. One IG user gushed underneath the image: “If snatched the eff up was a person!!!!❤️❤️😍😍😍,” while somebody else mentioned: “It’s the snatched waist for me 😍🔥.” Other fans wrote comments like “What waist?😍” and “Come on, beauty and body!❤️.”

Mariah revealed in a June interview with Atlanta Black Star that she had just purchased a boat, explaining that she lives on a lake. When asked if she was growing tired of being at home with her husband Dr. Aydin Huq during their shelter-in-place days she said, “No; we’ve been getting along great, actually. I’ve been cooking a lot and we’ve been doing a lot of water activities.”

Mariah and the emergency medicine physician celebrated 15 years of marriage on March 18. For their special day, the couple planned a romantic getaway to Riviera Maya, Mexico, but their trip got canceled because of the pandemic. The pair has two children together, Lauren Tayler Huq and Ethan Tyler Huq.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
