Nene Leakes recently celebrated a major milestone in her life with her husband Gregg Leakes. On Monday, June 22, the reality stars of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” danced the night away in honor of their 23rd wedding anniversary.
The “Swagg” Boutique owner shared a video on Instagram that showed her and Gregg tearing up the dance floor in their closet at home. At the beginning of the clip, Nene was grinding on Gregg to Anthony Hamilton‘s hit single “Best of Me.” In her caption, she wrote: “#lifeoftheleakes When the bond is unbreakable #lifeoftheleakes 23 years #happyanniversarymylove @greggleakes #OG #thethreat.”
Nene met Gregg in 1996 at a strip club. At the time, Nene was an exotic dancer, while the businessman was persuading her to leave her job.The pair got married for the first time in 1997, but they divorced in 2011 during season three of the reality show. They reconciled shortly after their divorce and got remarried in 2013.
Last summer, rumors swirled that the two were in an open marriage after Gregg was caught having inappropriate conversations with one of his wife’s former employees. Nene revealed in a March interview on Angela Yee’s “Lip Service” podcast that she would be fine if her husband cheated on her as long as she did not find out about it.
Shortly after her interview, Page Six reported that Nene was allegedly cheating on Gregg with USDA director Rodney White. The outlet claimed that Nene and Rodney were supposedly kissing and touching in Miami sometime early in 2020, while Gregg was battling stage-three colon cancer.
The “RHOA” veteran explained in an April interview with Extra TV that she and her husband don’t have an open relationship and hinted that they have a great sex life. “I think the reason why people think that, is first of all they see there is an age difference between Gregg and I. I have been with Gregg since I was 28 years old. He was young and I was young so now they think that since he has gotten older, are they doing anything in the bedroom? Well the answer to that question is, we’re doing a lot in the bedroom,” she shared.
