It’s safe to say people have gotten pretty creative since being stuck in their homes amid the COVID-19 crisis. From TikTok challenges to quarantine night clubs to virtual happy hours, it appears as if people are trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel. The hottest new viral fad is the pillow challenge. The trend involves taking a pillow and using a belt to create a strapless dress. You strike a pose, upload the picture to social media, and use the hashtag pillow challenge to compete.
Tracee Ellis Ross and Halle Berry were spotted participating in the pillow craze, and it seemed as if they were both competing neck and neck for the number-one spot.
The actresses both slayed their looks in the competition, so it’s hard to tell who actually won.
On Monday, April 24, Ross posted her pillow challenge attempt to Instagram. The “Black-ish” star posed atop a wooden desk in front of a navy blue wall. She donned a texture beige pillow with a yellow belt while being surrounded by a fiddle plant and pink peonies. Ross, the daughter to Diana Ross, looked as if she were modeling for a magazine cover.
Berry shared a photo to Instagram on Wednesday, April 15 that showed her modeling her pillow. The actress from “John Wick: Chapter 3” stepped out in her garden ready to demolish the competition. Berry wore a black studded belt around a black pillow. She threw on multiple accessories to tie her look together. She came through dripping in a black hat, black stilettos, and a pair of black sunglasses.
Fans equally complimented Ross and Berry for their pillow apparel.

Ross and Berry are not the only celebrities to partake in the challenge. Anne Hathaway, an actress from “The Devil Wears Prada,” made an outfit entirely out of pillows on Wednesday, April 22. Over 30,000 people have participated in the worldwide trend since it started nearly three weeks ago by two Sweden fashion influencers.
