Masika Kalysha blew up at rapper Fabolous via Instagram on the night of Thursday, April 16. Fabolous made a virtual appearance on rapper Tory Lanez’s Instagram-based show “Quarantine Radio.” The two artists were having a good time conversing with each other, but things took a turn for the worse when Kalysha confronted Fabolous in the live stream’s comments section.
Kalysha, a former cast member of “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood,” warned Fabolous to stop using her name in his rap lyrics. “Say my name one more damn time in a song on some giddy sh-t Fab and I’mma RE-chip your tooth,” she wrote. The reality star later clarified that she meant to write “goofy sh-t” instead of “giddy sh-t,” but people were still confused about why she was bringing up a hit record from nearly three years ago.
The 42-year-old Fabolous mentioned Kalysha’s name on his and Jadakiss‘ 2017 song, “Theme Music,” featuring Swizz Beatz. The lyrics in question say, “I’m like Masika and Alexis how I’m chasing the fetti (Goddamn!) Ugh!”
Kalysha’s comment seemingly backfired with fans, because they believed she should have been grateful to be referenced in an iconic song.
“She always looking for attention… girl sit down,” one user wrote.
A second fan said, “Girl bye you should be lucky!!!”
“She just wanted us to know he said her name 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.”
A fourth fan commented, “Girl nobody was thinking about your name in his songs…”
“Lmaoo she be doing too much, nobody even payed attention to her in the live 😂😂.”
” LMFAOOOO RE CHIP HIS TOOTH 😂 She ain’t playing.”
A seventh fan asked, “Sis what else are they going to talk about in reference to u?!…”
“She need to be glad anyone relevant even mentioned her🤷🏽♀️.”
“The Throw It In The Bag” artist has not responded to Kalysha as of now. His lyrics stemmed from Kalysha’s feud with her former “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” co-star Alexis Skyy. The 25-year-old model accused Kalysha of sleeping with her then-boyfriend Fetty Wap while he was still with Skyy. Kalysha and Skyy were involved in multiple physical altercations during season 4 of the reality show.
Kalysha, a former cast member of “Growing Up Hip Hop,” denied the allegations and said the rapper never claimed Skyy as his girlfriend. Both Kalysha and Skyy have daughters by the “Trap Queen” hitmaker. The two women have yet to settle their beef with each other.
