‘When it’s Them, it’s Sensationalized’: Tamar and Trina Braxton Discuss Kardashian Fight and Why They Would Never Treat Their Sisters Like That

It looks like singer Tamar Braxton and her big sister Trina Braxton had a few words to get off their chests about the recent episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

On the ET TV reality show, two of the sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian ensued into an explosive physical altercation that went viral. Kim was seen kicking and slapping her sister multiple times, while Kourtney punched Kim in the face. Their brawl not only gained the attention of social media users, but it had some of the Braxton sisters talking.

Trina and Tamar, who make up a total of five sisters, said they were shocked and saddened by the episode. Tamar Braxton discussed their sibling rivalry on their WE tv reality show “Braxton Family Values.” The two siblings said they never went as far as Kim and Kourtney by fighting, and suggested they never would.

“When it’s them, it’s sensationalized. When it’s us [Black women] we can’t get along,” said Trina.

The “All the Way Home” singer added that the episode was “a lot” for her to process.

“It was stressful for me. I’m not making it about me but it made me sad. It was heavy. I could never,” said Trina. “I don’t care how much y’all work on my nerves or what the disagreement is, I could never open my hand. And it made me sad for Kris and for Kendall who was watching. I kind of felt her energy. It was a lot. I’m praying for them. They’re not teenagers. They’re a little bit younger than us but they’re grown. For me to physically hit my sister—it just made me real, real sad. That’s not a conversation that will heal that. How do you heal that? How do you move forward? How do you move past that? Because after you a certain age and somebody open they hand and hit you in the face…”

Trina went on to say that she’s never imagined fighting her sister despite how mad she’s been at her sisters. Tamar noted that she would never treat her sisters that way, saying, “I was just like, ‘Oh my God.’ From scratching and kicking. I…Like you treat your enemies like that. From what we saw and we’ve watched them over the years, they wasn’t raised that way.”

Social media users agreed with the siblings and expressed their opinions.

“One thing I do respect about the Braxton sisters is they don’t fight. Kim & Kourt so ghetto 🧐”

“But they’ve definitely come close. Had it not been for a few tables or people, Tracy would’ve laid hands on Tamar. 😂 a few times”

“Yeah cause Ms. Evelyn do NOT play that she would slap the piss out of them 🤣🤣 (her words)”

“Nah, I will fuss with my sisters ALL DAY before I throw hands. Nahhhhh. I agree with them 100% fight your enemies”

“That’s cus Black Mommas Never Allowed Their Kids to Fight Eachother 😂Me and Ma a sister would Fight..Then Ma Mom Would be Like Oky Now FIGHT ME. Nope not again”
