Toni Braxton‘s youngest son, Diezel Braxton-Lewis, turned 17 years old on March 30. The “Un-break My Heart” hitmaker seemingly did not want her pride and joy’s big day to go unnoticed, so she posted videos on social media that highlighted their tight-knit mother-son relationship.
The “living legend” posted a video to Instagram on March 30 that depicted her singing happy birthday to her teenage son. Diezel appeared to be getting dressed at the moment his mother barged into his bathroom to give him his birthday wishes because he was brushing his teeth without a shirt. Braxton showered her son with affection by kissing him on the cheek and proceeded to ask him if he wanted to make a dance to celebrate his special day.
The birthday boy was blasting the Lil Uzi Vert single “You Better Move” through his bluetooth speakers as he was getting ready. The R&B artist appeared to like the 2020 hip-hop song and told her son, “Let’s make up a dance, Wanna make a dance? Left, right, left, right, turn up.” Braxton asked her son to turn up the music, and the two proceed to move their heads to the right and then to the left as the music played in the background. Diezel continued to brush his teeth as he was dancing with his mom.
The singer concluded her gushy birthday post by sending her son a message on social media. “When they turn 17, Mom is not cool anymore! Happy Birthday @diezel.braxton! BTW! CLEAN YOUR ROOM! 🥳 💕,” she wrote on Instagram.
His nonchalant attitude toward his mother had fans rhapsodizing over the pair’s seemingly close relationship.
“He’s totally unbothered 👏🍾,” one user wrote.
“Y’all are too cute😍❤️💜🤣 Happy Bday Diezel,” a second user gushed.
A third fan jokingly wrote, “It’s now gonna be a TikTok Toni 😂😂😂.”
“What a cool mom you are 🙌🏾😩 that was dope 💯,” a fourth user praised.
“😂😂❤️❤️❤️Happy birthday Diezel! Y’all should make a TikTok,” a fifth encouraged.
A sixth fan wrote, “Toni is the coolest mom😍😍❤.”
Braxton and Keri Lewis of the R&B group Mint Condition, are parents to Denim and Diezel Braxton-Lewis. The two parents divorced after 12 years of marriage. The Maryland native got engaged to rapper Birdman in 2018. However, rumors swirled that the couple secretly ended their engagement after they reportedly stopped following each other on social media.
