Legions of fans have longed for their chance to get close to Usher, and from the looks of it the singer has been wanting the same thing.

In an unexpected video shared to social, the R&B crooner said to fans, “Yo, what’s up everybody. Listen, I’ve been trying my hardest to figure out how can I get closer to you? How can I be connected to my fans? So I’m gonna share my personal number with you guys where you can reach me, text me, and I can text you. Maybe some things that are going on in my life, maybe some things going on in yours…you’ll be directly connected to my hip.”

With 8.4 million followers on the ‘Gram alone, it’s obvious the “Confessions” singer won’t be able to respond to many messages, but for the lucky ones it’s likely a moment they’ll cherish.

With a quickness fans hilariously shared their thoughts on the forever heartthrob sharing his number with the world.

“Man if everybody finsta have your number ion want it.. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 “

“Baby, you can’t be texting everybody. I’m a little selfish 🤷🏾‍♀️😉,” commented a fan. Though others are simply happy to have their chances of making contact with Usher.

“Yesssss! So excited! I’m texting you right now!”

“I’ve waited my whole life for this moment and now I have no idea what to text 😂”

Even with the excitement of newfound ‘access’ to Mr. Raymond it was to be expected that fans would use the opportunity to demand new music.

“Stop posting your number and finally bring out your new album 👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽 “
