50 Cent took to Instagram on Sunday, March 1, and said he wants to not only finish Pop Smoke‘s album but executive produce it as well. Pop Smoke was murdered on the West Coast nearly two weeks ago.
“I’m on the move listening to Pop smoke, i decided i’m gonna executive produce and finish his album for him,” wrote 50.
Then in a separate post, 50 tagged Roddy Ricch and said he wants him to be on the album. It’s something that Ricch has already responded to, and he posted a handshake emoji next to the words “Say less.”
50 shared his response, and in the caption he asked Drake for assistance with the album too.
“See i got @roddyricch on deck, this s–t gonna be stupid 🤦♂️ @champagnepapi where you at n—a, don’t start acting light skinned on us.🤨😆,” wrote 50 on Sunday.
Then, on Monday, March 2, 50 posted a photo of Chris Brown, who was seen sporting pink and blue hair, and he asked him to help with Pop Smoke’s LP as well.
“Yo n—a im a need you on this record, 👀but what da f–k you do to your hair blood. LOL,” wrote 50.
Underneath his posts about completing the late rapper’s album, a lot of people said they were all for it.
“Good idea I’m sure he would love that,” someone wrote on Instagram.
“You’re such a G bro 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾,” a second person wrote.
“i dig it if drizzy get on pop smoke’s album,” wrote another Instagram user about Drake working with 50.
Pop Smoke was shot and killed in Hollywood, California, on Feb. 19 at the age of 20.
The following day, TMZ reported that four men were seen approaching his rented house on surveillance footage, and one of them went inside.
That same person was later seen leaving through the front door empty-handed, which casts doubt on earlier theories that the shooting was related to a robbery.
Pop Smoke’s body has already been transported back to New York, and his burial reportedly will be later this week. There haven’t been any arrests or suspects named at this time.
