‘It’s Time We Bring R&B Back’: Diddy Makes Declaration from Hospital Bed As He Undergoes Fourth Surgery in Two Years

Fans of MTV’s “Making the Band” and 90s R&B soon will witness the resurgence of both now that Diddy is bringing the show back with his three sons dubbed the Combs Cartel.

Before being sedated for a surgery, the Bad Boy CEO took to social in his hospital gown to make it known that he and his sons Quincy Brown, Justin Combs and Christian Combs would be looking for singers during auditions in multiple cities across the country including Atlanta.

“I’m looking for singers. Singers. It’s time we bring R&B back. Male and female singers. It can be any race, creed, color, sexuality, but you have to be able to sing. You have to be able to dance,” said Diddy in the video. “I’m looking for future superstars–all the next generation of superstars. I want y’all to be clear. I’m looking for some R&B, pop singers so we can make the biggest band in the world. Think N’Sync, 112, Destiny’s Child, Fifth Harmony, The Supremes, The Temptations,” he added.

Fans who loved the rap group incarnation of “Making the Band” have yet to forget the infamous “Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan” moment and are more than ready to see what will come out of this quest to bring back R&B.

Auditions for the show will be held in Atlanta from Feb. 28-29, Houston from March 7-8, Charlotte, N.C., from March 13-14, and New York City from March 21-22, as well as online.

“If you feel like you got what it takes to compete in today’s industry — y’all know how our pops does it. So expect nothing but the best to be showing up,” said Brown in a video promoting the upcoming show.
