Actress Kellee Stewart, who plays Ellene in “Cherish The Day,” graced the red carpet during the premiere of Ava DuVernay‘s new TV show for the OWN network. She spoke to Atlanta Black Star about the importance of “Cherish The Day,” black love and the one thing she would ask her future husband.
“Any love that depicts us loving and coming together to figure it out not only uplifts the black community, but that’s who we are,” she said of the show.
When it comes to finding love, she had this to say about an ideal mate: “Someone who values himself, values his work and his contributions to the world, who has a purpose and knows it and just wants to take that ride with me.”
“Cherish The Day” premiered Feb, 11 on OWN.
