It looks like Yandy Smith-Harris may be a true friend to Safaree Samuels after all.
The “Love and Hip Hop: New York” veteran came to her co-star’s rescue after he had second thoughts of marrying his bride-to-be at the time, Erica Mena.
The night before their wedding day, Samuels and Mena got into a huge argument after the “Hunnid” rapper invited her ex-boyfriend Rich Dollaz to his bachelor party. Mena felt betrayed by her fiancé’s decision, especially since he made the decision without talking to her.
On Monday night’s episode, Samuels arrived on Smith-Harris’ doorstep to talk to her about his and Mena’s issues. He told her he stayed over his mother’s house after the argument instead of going home with Mena. Samuels then told Smith-Harris that he was having second thoughts about marrying the model and claimed he didn’t feel the same way about her as he did when he initially proposed to her.
As a married woman for seven years, Smith-Harris lent some advice to Samuels and said, “If you think for the rest of your life you gon’ feel like the night you proposed to her, you not ready for this. Why you didn’t talk to her? You bugging.”
The mother of two added in her confessional, “OK, Erica did things you didn’t like, you’ve done things she doesn’t like. You cannot walk away from a decision you made to spend the rest of you life with someone over a silly fight.”
Samuels apparently listened to Smith-Harris’ advice and proceeded with the wedding.
Several “LHHNY” viewers applauded Smith-Harris for “speaking real” to Samuels amid his nervousness about getting married.
