‘Still Not Married and Still No Kids’: Chrissy Lampkin Explains Why She and Jim Jones Haven’t Tied the Knot, Fans React

It seems “Love and Hip Hop: New York” couple Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones won’t be walking down the aisle anytime soon.

Lampkin appeared on the latest episode of “The Real” Monday afternoon and discussed her return to “LHHNY” after leaving the show nearly seven years ago.

“They kinda said they wanted to get back to the essence of the show,” said Lampkin, adding that “LHHNY” producers reached out first and asked her to return.

Both Lampkin and Jones will star on the VH1 series, and viewers will get to witness the dynamics in the pair’s relationship. When asked why they haven’t tied the knot since getting engaged in 2012, Lampkin merely said marriage wasn’t a “priority anymore.”

“Our relationship is in a good place,” said Lampkin. “I thought that [marriage] was the natural progression, but it’s not for everybody. We’re good right now.”

Lampkin’s remarks, however, drew mixed reactions from fans.

“Damn that’s her long long long long long long time boyfriend 😶 . At this point they never gonna get married. She proposed to him for nothing.”

“Long time boyfriend 😂 oh hell no! Still not married an still no kid’s! Damn! I feel bad for her he wasted her time!”

“Chrissy come on! I don’t understand how it’s not a priority. Then just go to the courthouse!”

“If your dating for yearssss and marriage is not a priority …idk Mann 🤦🏾‍♀️. I have no idea what to tell you.”

Since getting together in 2004, Lampkin and Jones have experienced a slew of relationship woes.

In 2016, Lampkin also clarified why she decided to opt for a long-term  engagement with her fiancé of then-four years.

“I don’t want to get married before either one of us is really ready, then what’s the sense? That ends in divorce,” she told Billboard. “People move at their own pace. I’m still here because it’s my choice.”

The couple will star on season 10 of “LHHNH,” which is slated to premiere on Monday, Dec. 16, on VH1.
