Steve Harvey has made his mark in the world of entertainment with hosting talk shows, comedy, acting, penning books, and motivational speaking.
On Nov. 30, Harvey re-posted a video to his Facebook platform that he’d posted earlier to The Official Steve Harvey YouTube channel, one giving the audience two things that will transform their lives.
“You are looking at somebody that’s been at the bottom before,” Harvey said. “I’m not like some rich dude who mama ’n’ ’em had some money, and gave me some money, and now I’m telling y’all how to get over,” he continued. “I’m going to tell you how to get over because I’ve been under.”
The first thing Harvey told his audience to do that could change their lives is reading the verse “You have not, because you ask not” from James 4:2.
Harvey noted that the scripture isn’t in just rich people’s Bible’s, but that of the everyday person.
“Most people don’t have the life of their dreams because you don’t ask God for the life of your dreams, Harvey said. “You’ve been trying to figure it out and handle it yourself. Well, how that’s working out for you?” he asked.
Along with reading the word, one must have a vision board, writing down what they want out of life.
“Write the vision and make it plan. So he who reads it will run to it, and even though it will tarry, wait for it. For surely, it will come at an appointed time” from Habakkuk 2:2-4.
“What I’m telling you works. This ain’t no magic trick,” Harvey said with power in his voice.
Harvey then gave viewers an exercise to help them achieve their fullest potential.
“Write everything you want from God on a piece of paper, be as detailed as you can. Write down 300 things, open up your imagination,” Harvey instructed.
“Do not stop until you have 300 things. Read your list every morning and every night. One year from today, go down your list and check off anything that has happened for you.”
Harvey explains that the task must be done in faith, with the expectation that God is going to move mountains. “At the end of one year, you will be stunned at how much stuff comes off that list,” Harvey said.
