One could say that Naturi Naughton is having a tough week, because not only did 50 Cent troll her on social media for the second time, Lil’ Kim slammed the actress for portraying her in the 2009 film “Notorious.”
The Brooklyn rapper recently stopped by The Hollywood Unlocked and said she not only thought Naughton was completely wrong for the role, she couldn’t stand the entire movie.
“I hated everything about that movie,” Kim stated. “I wasn’t involved in it. I actually had to get my lawyers involved, in which I ended up getting a check from it … It was greenlit, it was shot without my permission.”
“All I hear is, ‘What the f–k?’ They’re arguing,” Naughton said on the show. “They’re yelling and I’m like, ‘I hope this is not about me’ but it was.” In the same episode, the New Jersey raised actress said Kim may have thought she was too dark to play her.
And during Kim’s interview, she let it be known that she didn’t like Naughton talking about her.
“I was not okay with that,” she said about the “Power” star. “I would’ve never picked her. She has nothing in common with me. And I don’t like the way she’s been disrespectful about it.”
“Because I wasn’t even, like, basically blaming her, but she did like a whole documentary coming at me, and I’m like ‘What the heck is this? Boo, you don’t want this smoke,’ ‘cause at the end of the day I could really go there,” added Kim.
The “9” creator then said she would’ve preferred to have Teyana Taylor play her, because she’s close to her in real life, she’s from New York and has a New York accent.
Naughton responded to Kim”s interview on Instagram Live Saturday morning and used a line from The Notorious B.I.G. to do it.
“In the words of #BiggieSmalls…’Mo Money, Mo Problems’?” she wrote.
