It’s “Trust” that Cole and Monica recorded together for the former singer’s 2008 album, “A Different Me.” The song was originally a solo record but was re-recorded with Monica and released as a single in 2009, with a music video featuring both performers.

The pair didn’t just let the song sit on an album or be seen in music video form. They performed it together in Los Angeles while Cole was on the road to support her third studio album with A Different Me Tour. They also took the stage at the 2009 BET Awards and belted the tune in front of a live TV audience.

But it was the latter performance that had some fans questioning whether or not Cole should make an entire album with her fellow crooner.

“It’ll be a monica album, y’all remember that bet awards performance when monica took over that trust performance”

“So she can show’d up again?! Fine,i’ll listen”

“So Monica can out sang her again😅 she shouldn’t want that embarrassment again😂”

Regardless, there were many more fans who want a new set of songs from Cole and Monica to be released.

One fan tweeted the two should “do a joint album with at least 17 good ass tracks.” But for Cole, she’s got a limit on how many tracks she wants the album to include.

“Smh! 10 at the most. I was gonna say 7 or 8” she replied.
