“Love and Hip Hop: New York” actress Alexis Skyy can’t seem to catch a break from social media coming after her parenting efforts.
The 25-year-old television personality took to Instagram on Thursday night and uploaded a sweet photo of her 1-year-old daughter Alaiya Grace dressed up as Disney character “Winnie the Pooh” for her Halloween costume. Clearly a proud mom, write captioned her picture, “There goes my Pooh bear.”
Skyy’s post racked up over 59,000 likes and a swarm of comments from fans who gushed over her daughter’s adorableness.
“Look at Lay looking so cute as Winnie the Pooh 😍 omg she’s gorgeous ❤️ how sweet!” one fan exclaimed
Another added, “Cuteness Overload💕💕 she looks so loved and happy ❤️ good job Alexis.”
Despite the overwhelming amount of compliments Skyy received, other folks claimed she was an absentee parent.
“😍😍 Haven’t see you post that face in a while,” one naysayer said. ” So sad to see you literally spent 30 mins with her them out to the streets.”
Another critic wrote, “Girl you use your daughter as a prop never show real emotion or attachment. … U never even with her stop fronting.”
This isn’t the first time Skyy’s received these sort of mom-bashing comments.
Earlier this year after she was accused of neglecting her daughter after the child underwent brain surgery. In January, a few days after her first birthday, baby Alaiya was rushed to the hospital after having to repair a malfunctioning shunt in her brain.
Less than a week after the child’s surgery, Skyy was seen on her way to make an appearance at a nightclub. A non-fan slammed the mother of one for her actions and immediately deemed her a “bad mom.”
Skyy hit back at the critic, writing, “No b–ch actually I’m on my way to work to provide for my child. … I have a great support system my daughter is good when I’m not working I’m with her.”
She added, “Obviously if she was still in hospital I wouldn’t be out working, mind your business sis.”
During season 8 of LHHNY, Skyy expressed that her grandmother cares for her daughter when she’s away from home working.
Skyy’s daughter was born three months premature on Jan. 4, 2017. She claims singer Fetty Wap is the father of her child. However, the father of six recently suggested that might not be true, saying in a now-deleted video from September, “I’ma always love Lai Lai. … I’m gonna help, but as far as me going above my boundaries …nah. If it was biological with me, then it would be different.”
