A little glamour never hurt anybody — certainly not actress Taraji P. Henson.
The star of Fox’s music-based drama “Empire” uploaded a sultry selfie to her Instagram page Sunday showing off her glammed-up look. Retro black curls framed her face as she rocked a bold brown-burgundy-colored lip and full lashes.
“Hey 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾🙏🏾💋💋💋” the TV star captioned the Oct. 28 image.
Henson did not say much about what the context was for the glam appearance. But that was no matter, as fans readily hailed the look for the beauty she exuded.

Henson will soon keep up the glamour, as she’s has been planning her upcoming wedding. She quietly revealed on Instagram this summer that she plans to walk down the aisle with her former Indianapolis Colts cornerback fiancé Kelvin Hayden on April 4, 2020.
At one point, it seemed Henson was taking her time with planning the ceremony.
“I don’t have a date yet,” Henson told People magazine at the top of the year. “I’m trying for the summer. I have scripts coming in, you know — you got to strike while the iron is hot — and [Hayden] is patient.”
But by the fall, the star got the ball rolling and began getting things in order for her big day.
“I don’t do samples,” she explained on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in September. “Don’t send me swatches. I told my wedding planner make it pretty, fun, make sure the food is good and a bomb DJ. No bridal party. I’m not a bridezilla. Please, I just want to say my vows in front of people I love, eat good food and have fun. That’s it!”
While Henson is focusing her attention on her soon-to-be husband, she’s recently been in the news thanks to her ex, Lamar Odom. The two briefly dated in the late 2000s and he recently explained what led him to lose out on his relationship with the “What Men Want” star.
“Things ended with Taraji because me being an immature punk, I didn’t know how to tell her that I was falling in love with another woman named Khloé Kardashian,” he said on his episode of TVOne’s “Uncensored.”
