‘Big Mad’: Watch White Woman’s Reaction to Man Wearing Kaepernick Jersey at Football Game

A fan at a Green Bay Packers game stood firm in his support of free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick as the Packers faced the Oakland Raiders Sunday.

In footage that was posted to Twitter by user @cooly_roc Monday, the unnamed man sports a black Kaepernick jersey as the University of Wisconsin marching band plays the national anthem. He also unravels a bandana with the colors of the Pan-African flag and wraps it around his hand before making a fist and raising it. In between that time, a Packers fan behind him hides behind her thick blond hair and sunglasses as she gives him the middle finger.

“Oh yea we ain’t forget about you too @Kaepernick7!! We ride for you cause of your sacrifice for riding with the people! ✊🏿” video’s accompanying tweet read.

The move was likely made in support of why Kaepernick began sitting and then kneeling instead of standing as “The Star-Spangled Banner” played while he was a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. Kaepernick said to NFL.com at the time, β€œI am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”

Many online have been applauding the football fan for his stance.

“He said what he said”

“I respect this man for being brave I mean the national anthem say it’s the land of the FREE and the BRAVE right? ✊🏾”

“It takes nothing to join the crowd. It takes everything to stand alone ❀️”

“You better black man ❀️ stand for something that means EVERYTHING”

The Kaepernick supporter even had a fan in singer Tyrese, who said in part, “Kings will be Kings will be Kings will be Kings…. Salute to Kap and every black man and black woman who has to get up and get OUT and put it all on the line everyday to provide for their family..!!!!! Stand for something or continue to fall for everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

While the Milwaukee man got praise for the move, many others called out the Packers fan who flipped him the bird.

“Lmfao you see the lady flip him off. πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€”

“That lady in the back would have made me soooo mad 😑”

“Big mad Becky πŸ˜‚”

“So we gonna find ol lady in the back or wha? #blacktwitterassemble”

The man is only among the latest people to continue leading Kaepernick’s charge since he became a free agent and left the NFL in the spring of 2017.

Earlier in October, Saul Eugene was booted from a Donald Trump rally in Minneapolis, where he wore a Kaepernick jersey. Trump has been a staunch critic of the QB’s protest since the beginning.

β€œ[Kaepernick] essentially gave up his whole career to fight for the things he believed in,” Eugene told Time magazine. “A black man willing to use his platform to step up and speak out on a lot of the atrocities that are committed across this country on a regular basis, it scares [Trump supporters]. It’s everything they fear. They’re losing their control and their upper hand.”
