It looks like “Love and Hip Hop” couple Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels are expecting a baby girl.
It was reported earlier this month that fans speculated that the sex of the newlywed’s baby would be female, and it looks like they were right after all. Mena, 31, and Samuels, 38, held a lavish gender reveal this past weekend in New York, surrounded by their loved ones to help them celebrate the special moment.
In a gender revelation video posted by both Samuels and his wife on Sunday afternoon, it shows a slew of pink fireworks going off to reveal the gender of their unborn daughter. Both the “Hunnid” rapper and the model fought back tears of joys and basked in the emotional moment together at the Suede Caribbean restaurant in New York.
“I’ve been surrounded by women my whole life…. 1 more wont hurt 🎀🎀😂😂😂 My daughter is on the way 🙏🏾,” Samuels wrote via Instagram. “Thank you @suedenyc and my wife for enduring all this pain for our unborn child. It’s a GIRL 🎀🎀🎀🎀 straitttt start sending free stuff for girls now 😂.”
It’s not clear what Samuels was referring to in mentioning his wife’s pain.
Mena added in her post, “God I can’t thank you enough 🙏🏽♥️ My husband and I are living a dream. Everything we’ve ever wanted has officially come true. 💖”
Fans instantly flooded the couple with congratulatory messages.

Just last week, the pair shared their first sonogram of their unborn baby. Samuels claimed their daughter took after his gene pool and had the same head shape as his.
“Can you believe it???” the rapper wrote October 4. “Praise God… #Myhead”
The father-to-be and Mena reportedly tied the knot on Monday, Oct. 7, and exchanged their “I dos” during a lavish ceremony. Their wedding will be shown on the upcoming season of “Love and Hip Hop: New York” for viewers to witness.
Samuels is ecstatic about becoming a first-time father. He added in their pregnancy announcement video on October 1, “Wow, wow, it’s a big deal! Very big deal. I didn’t know I was capable of doing this. … I’m excited!”
Mena will be a second-time mother. She also has 12-year-old son King Conde.
