‘Steve Has Been Replaced’: The Surprising Person Who Could Wind Up Taking Over for Steve Harvey on the Radio

Over the past year, Steve Harvey has lost out on his daytime talk show and hosting a hit NBC variety show, and now it looks as if the comedian may be getting cut from his radio show in favor of a much younger host.

Harvey’s wife Marjorie Harvey captured the moment when “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” host stepped away from his desk and their grandson climbed into the seat to take his spot.

“Steve got up on commercial break and Noah jumped in his chair 🤣” read the caption of the Oct. 7 photo Marjorie shared to Instagram.

The image of Noah putting on his grandpa’s headphones to host the long-running syndicated morning show had fans reveling at the moment.

“Oh…o Steve has been replaced! 😂”

“Do you thang Noah 😍😍😍”

“Too cute!!! Future Steve Harvey!!! He sees Grandfather grinding!!! Yessssss, the future!!!🔥🔥🔥”

“@marjorie_harvey he’s trying to show y’all his skills one day granddad has to pass the torch 😂😂”

“Showing the generation is ready for their spotlight 😂😂🙌🏾”

“Take your place Noah 😊”

Steve Harvey’s morning show has run successfully across the United States since 2000, but in the fall of 2018 a Dallas-Forth Worth station dropped the show in favor of a new program hosted by Claudia Jordan and comedian Rudy Rush. “The Morning Rush with Claudia and Rudy” took over for the comic’s show, and a month later a Pittsburgh radio station dropped “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” in favor of airing New York-based “The Breakfast Club.”

The switch-up for the radio show came after Harvey’s daytime talker, “Steve,” was revealed to be getting pulled from several NBC stations in fall 2019 to make way for “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

Since Kelly Clarkson’s show bowed in this fall, many of Steve Harvey’s fans have sounded off on missing seeing his program as a lead-in to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“I miss your show. Come back please ❤️❤️❤️”

“Awww 😍 Miss your show Steve !!!”

“Miss Steve On NBC before Ellen. Lots”

“@mary.walk me too. I like Tamron, but her show is no where near the caliber of Steve’s show,” someone replied.

While it remains to be seen whether or not Steve Harvey goes back to daytime television, he’s got his sights set on a new effort tied to his roots in comedy. He posted on Instagram Sunday that he’s seeing entries for the Steve Harvey Standup Spotlight competition, encouraging funny people to get their chance at comic stardom.
