Meghan McCain Gets Dragged After Offering Her Unwanted Opinion on Kamala Harris’ Debate Performance

Meghan McCain was thoroughly chewed out Thursday night after criticizing Sen. Kamala Harris performance during the Democratic presidential debate.

McCain, a co-host on ABC’s “The View,” live-tweeted along with the millions of other Americans who tuned in for the third round of debates, held at the historically Black Texas Southern University in Houston.

Democratic front-runners, including former vice president Joe Biden and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, duked it out on the main stage as they discussed issues pertaining to race, health care and economy. One of many highlights from the night was when Harris (D-Calif) likened Trump to the man behind the curtain in “The Wizard of Oz.”

“You know, when you pull back the curtain, and it’s a really small dude,” Harris said, drawing a chuckle from moderator George Stephanopoulos and several others in the crowd. McCain, 34, did not appreciate the joke, however, and slammed the senator for seeming overly rehearsed.

“Oh my god, these rehearsed lines from Kamala are killing me #DemDebate,” the conservative commentator tweeted.

Her unsolicited criticism didn’t sit well with fellow Twitter users, however.

“Your rehearsed bigotry kills all of us,” writer Frederick Joseph wrote in response.

“Yet, she (Harris) is still more qualified and credentialed for her job than you, and no family favors were called in to help,” tech executive Bari A. Williams chimed in.

Another critic agreed, writing: “If only she had a famous father to bring up every time she spoke!”

“No one asked you,” one man said bluntly. “You don’t get a vote in our primary.”

Another user argued that the only rehearsed line they were tired of hearing is “I AM JOHN MCCAIN’S DAUGHTER.”
