A “couples chat” Nene Leakes mentioned on her Instagram account led to some accusations that she had stepped out on her husband Gregg Leakes.
“Gregg and i had a great discussion today about relationships!” Leakes captioned a photo of herself posing with her husband of six years on July 23. “He says, when a man steps out, it’s because something YOU not doing right! Agree? Disagree? He has to be kidding right? My answer to that was BULLS–T! I think he was trying to get under my skin. PS: NO this isn’t about us! It’s a relationship discussion with other couples today.”
She later edited the caption to add, “#lifeoftheleakes #chitchat PSS: Hey we are having another ‘Couples Discussion’ soon! You should come over! It’s actually really fun to me. Um Gregg looks great by the way.”
The post generated lots of comments from fans sharing their own opinions on the matter.
“May not be something you’re not necessarily doing but something that they are missing or they think that they are missing.”
“Men step out because they want to. Women stay loyal to their own hurt.”
“Tell Greg he gon make cus!!! No true to fact but true to deflection. Greg you know we live you on the gram but y’all need to stop that mess.”
But then, things took a turn once a commenter claimed Leakes was eager to cheat on her husband, whom she was initially wed to from 1997 to 2010 before they ultimately remarried.
“Nene you was ready to step out your relationship.. plZ,” the Instagram user said.
“@_dagmy_arias mine your business! Now see you don’t know the rules of our relationship,” Leakes shot back.
Leakes’ response generated even more reactions from fans largely laughing at the interaction.

But the way the rumors bubbled up is no laughing matter.
Leakes initially sparked divorce rumors when “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion aired. Then, she admitted that as she and her spouse have been facing his battle with colon cancer over the past year, it had made potentially leaving him more difficult.
“It would be easy to make a decision about divorcing Gregg if he didn’t have cancer,” Nene said. “I don’t want to live my life unhappy.”
“I can’t tell you anything that I’m going to do,” she later said. “I feel like I have been pushed up against the wall and I’m coming out like no.”
More recently, a photo of a date night the two shared had fans thinking they were over because of this hashtag: #wewillALWAYShaveabondnomatterwhat.
