‘Like Mother Like Son’: Angela Simmons and Her 2-Year-Old Son Sway Fans with Their Swaggy Out Attire

Growing Up Hip Hop” star Angela Simmons and her toddler Sutton Joseph Tennyson served mother and son goals with their overload of confidence and super fly get-up.

The 31-year-old mom is known for her trendy fashions and appears to be passing down her snazzy style to her son. She took to Instagram Tuesday evening and uploaded a picture of her and baby SJ posing outside together in their b-boy stance. Simmons sported a black and tan tiger-striped dress, denim jacket and white sneakers. Her son rocked the exact same sneakers, olive-green camo shorts and a green shirt with the word “wavy” plastered on it.

Simmons posed for the camera with her hands out front and her feet apart as her 2-year-old clearly opted to hold his toys as props.

The mother of one captioned her post “Never playing about this one 💙.”

Simmons’ adorable mother-son post was showered with a slew of comments.

“Handsome Little Guy ❤️ and y’all look nice! I commend you as a mother girly!”

“They both got on the big drip 💯💪🏽 like mother like son @angelasimmons he is sooo cute.”

“Lovin those matching kicks! 💙🔥🤩 Sj said he wanna be fly too lol!”

“Yassss hunny!! 💗💗 lovin the same sneakers this is too cute.”

Simmons, the daughter of Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons, welcomed her son SJ in September 2016 with her ex-fiancé Sutton Tennyson, who was shot to death in November 2018.

Although Simmons and Tennyson were in a legal dispute at the time of his passing, according to Page Six, Simmons still mourned her former partner’s death.

“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift,” the star wrote on Instagram Nov. 4 along with a photo of herself, Tennyson and their son. “I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise,” she concluded, adding a heart emoji.

During an interview with the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper in June 2018, the “GUHH” star described motherhood as a big “adjustment” that she wouldn’t change for the world.

“I definitely think children bring out the best in you. … Motherhood is an experience and matures you in a different way,” she said. “The kid just changes you for the better. I wouldn’t change it.”
