The power couple just made a power move.
Variety reports that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have launched a multimedia company called Westbrook Inc. that will back their projects, as well as their children Jaden and Willow Smith, who are both actors and musicians.
The famed couple made the announcement on Wednesday and said the goal with each project they produce is to empower and entertain people at the same time.
“We are so excited to announce this new venture and fully immerse ourselves in all areas of the media and entertainment space,” said the Smiths in a statement.
“With our incredible team of family, chosen family, and longtime business partners, Westbrook Inc.’s mission is to spread positive ideas, art, and products that entertain and empower the greatest number of lives, inspiring the next generation of artists to do good in the world,” the statement continued.
Westbrook Studios already produces Pinkett Smith’s Facebook series “Red Table Talk” and will back a variety of content in the digital space, on TV and on the big screen with movies and documentaries.
The company was also responsible for making Smith a social media star over the past few years, because one can easily say he’s reinvented himself on sites like Instagram, where he now has over 30 million followers.
Westbrook Studios has already been working with Jaden Smith’s water company Just Water as well.
Other companies owned by the Smiths will fall under Westbrook Inc. too, including Will Smith’s production house Overbrook Entertainment launched in 1997, which has raked in $4 billion at the box office with films like “I am Legend” and “Hitch.”
Red Table Talk Enterprises, as well as Good Goods, the couple’s merchandise business, will also fall under Westbrook Inc.
