“Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Tommie Lee was recently reunited with her loved ones after spending quite a bit of time behind bars.
The 35-year-old mother recently beat her child abuse case after facing as much as 54 years behind bars and appears to be happier than ever that she’s finally home. She took to her Instagram July 4 and posted a video of the car ride to her Atlanta home, where she was greeted by her family and friends. She, of course, arrived in complete “Tommie fashion,” dressed in a two-piece crop-top and skirt set, with her makeup slayed.
Seemingly grateful to be out of custody, she wrote via Instagram, “Beyond thankful for all of y’all support thank you!❤️ #tommiehome.”
She also called out people passing judgment on her situation, urging them to “be careful.”
“To all the people praying on my downfall … Be careful with that energy and remember your not exempt from going where I just left!”
Last October, the television personality was arrested and charged with child cruelty for physically assaulting her younger daughter at a middle school in suburban Atlanta. She was arrested and then released the day after the alleged incident but was thrown back in jail within 24 hours on charges of violating an order to refrain from all contact with the child.
Lee spent two months behind bars for the incident and then was hauled back to jail due to violating her bond by showing up to court intoxicated. She asked to enter a mental health program in March, but was denied due to her long history of criminal activity.
Instead of serving time in prison, she was instead given 10 years of probation after pleading guilty to five charges out of the seven she originally was hit with. She was also ordered to attend a residential recovery program. After her program is completed, she must spend nearly a year in aftercare with licensed professionals.
Lee must stay out of trouble during her probation sentence or she immediately will be hauled off to prison, according to news reports.
Fans of the reality star are rooting for her to stay on the right path and keep out of harm’s way.
